Ocotillo Village Health Club

One of the challenges faced with designing this large-scale health club was fitting it comfortably into the existing residential context.  In order to do so, earth-toned colors and materials compliment the surrounding neighborhood and selected pops of color are used on the interior to bring more life to the spaces. Additionally, the design of the facility opens up the views to the surrounding lake and uses local materials and plant palettes.

This design was applauded by City Staff, the Home Owner’s Association, and Council members alike for its contextual sensitivity and fresh forward-thinking aesthetics–in fact, it has been touted by these groups to be a new standard for future development in this area.
