At 58.56 acres, The Grand at Papago Park Center is the last major parcel that will be developed within the Papago Park Center and is envisioned by the owner as a legacy development, one that not only responds to current market needs but completes Papago Park Center with a project that will be recognized throughout the western United States as an exceptional mixed-use development.
The proposed plan relocates the Grand Canal making it a major focus and iconic amenity, visible from both major street entries and all parcels within this development. North of the relocated canal, the master plan envisions a mix of uses similar to those currently developed to the north, west and east of the property. This acts as a transitional bridge between the surrounding developed properties to the more intense project planned south of the canal along the Loop 202 freeway frontage. Water features taking advantage of the existing canal within open spaces are envisioned to embody interpretive aspects which educate the visitor about the rich history of Arizona and the Salt River Project.
The design, with two light-rail stops, freeway adjacency and significant bicycle and pedestrian connection to the surrounding community provides easy access for residents to live, work, and play within the community.
